I Pitched a CRAZY Idea... and it might just work.

If you missed last week's newsletter, you would have missed the announcement that I'm going to be featured in a documentary about entrepreneurship and Pickleball, sponsored by Alibaba.
Last week, my house was filled with a film crew of about 10 people, and a representative from Alibaba.
I learned that Cameron, the Global Media Representative for Alibaba, was staying an extra day in Austin, so I invited him for dinner and drinks.
I also discovered that he had a personal vision for the sport of Pickleball and its intersection with Alibaba. While I won't mention the specifics of his idea, I will say it's brilliant. He mentioned his interest in Steve Kuhn, the founder of Major League Pickleball, and expressed a wish to meet him someday.
When Cameron shared his vision, he had no idea that I'm actually friends with Steve! So, I texted Steve to see if he was available for drinks that night.
Steve Kuhn has been described as "The Billionaire Whose Mission Is to Be King of Pickleball", and as you can imagine, he is incredibly busy.
Upon hearing Cameron's idea, I genuinely loved it and thought Steve might too.
I made the arrangement and Cameron was really excited! I want to clarify that I did this with NO AGENDA. I am not one to network with an agenda to score and land deals. Often, I make connections or do kind acts just to be nice. Grant Cardone would likely disapprove since I'm not adhering to his ABC (always be closing) principle. I arranged the meeting simply because I thought it would be an interesting experience. Now, to be honest, if Cameron's idea was lackluster, I wouldn't have initiated the meeting.
We met up at Here Nor There, a cool speakeasy, and I brought my filmmaker Erin along. (If you haven't seen Brambila Method 3.0, she is responsible for videos like this intro video here.). The meeting was casual, with Steve naturally commanding the room, as you would expect from a billionaire.
Later, I invited Cameron to one of my favorite places, Kalimoto, just to hang out, with literally no agenda. Our conversation eventually turned back to Pickleball and our previous discussion with Steve. An idea I had been mulling over resurfaced, and I decided to pitch it to Cameron:
Cameron had earlier told me that Pickleball was the #2 fastest growing sector on Alibaba.com, and he was seeking content ideas and collaborations to increase awareness that businesses could source products from Alibaba.com.
Me: "I have an idea I've been sitting on for a while, ever since Pickleball started trending. When I originally built bampickleball.com, it was before I became an 'influencer' in business. I didn't document the process at all. What if I create an entirely new Pickleball brand of paddles from scratch and document EVERYTHING from day 1 to growing the brand to its first $100,000, or even a million!?"
Cameron: "That's amazing. We could even fly you out to China to meet manufacturers and test products live."
Erin (my filmmaker): "We could make a whole documentary and really blow this up."
Me: "!!!!!"
Cameron: "!!!!"
Erin: "!!!!"
We spent the rest of the night expanding on this idea. The following weekend, I received an email from Cameron which contained the following:
Insane! This idea could become a reality. It would be a SERIOUS brand deal. I'm excited to see where it goes and happy to bring YOU along on the journey.
Here's the lesson:
Here's a photo from that night! This could be the start of something BIG for all of us:
Launching a new Funnel series for FREE!
In my small group coaching I'm starting to witness some amazing transformations begin of our members from taking their idea and putting it into reality. The BIGGEST barrier for beginners is learning how to put their idea into an offer and setting up the technology so it can grow passively (aka the funnel).
For the entire month of August I'm going to create a free funnel EVERY DAY based on a real life example of a business, influencer or niche. Then... like a crazy man... I'm going to give you the template that I build every day for FREE. Think of it as a 30 day free course of everything you need to know how to get your idea OUT OF YOUR HEAD and into the real world with the right technology and offer. If you want to join this free 30 day course click here.
Over +15,000 people have taken the Brambila Method some people say the new 3.0 is the BEST class they have ever bought!
Think a little DO a lot:
Anytime I launch a new idea, I get butterflies in my stomach because there's always a thought that NO one will embrace your new idea.
My mindset is to make it GOOD ENOUGH to launch and then prove the concept.
You can prove the concept by getting at least 100 people to your site/funnel. If at least one person takes the desired action, you've passed the test!
I'm working one-on-one with a friend (I usually don't do this), and one thing she's good at is taking action. Unlike most people I meet, who sit on their ideas or spend TOO much time thinking about their offer, she is scrappy.
I like that.
This past week on one of our group coaching calls, a member shared her idea for a B2B business of estate planning and more.
When she asked if she could share her idea with the group, I expected the usual 1-2 minute explanation of the idea.
Instead, she thoroughly explained her entire business model, value ladder with upsells and downsells, and bonuses over the next 10 minutes.
It was the most well-thought-out plan I'd seen in a while. You might be thinking, "That's great for her!" but my thoughts were the opposite.
The plan was TOO good. It was over-planned and overthought. This is someone who has spent WAY more time thinking about the plan vs. executing it.
So I asked her how long she had been sitting on it, and it had been a while. Here's the problem with investing too much time in planning your idea:
ALL YOUR IDEAS MIGHT NOT WORK.
ALL YOUR IDEAS COULD BE BAD.
NO ONE MIGHT LIKE YOUR IDEAS.
So, all the time she over-planned and analyzed every single offer and upsell might have been better spent getting proof of concept.
Now, here's the great thing she did. She shared EVERYTHING in the 20-person group. Because of that, there's going to be a nice social pressure of accountability, and we're eager to hear progress updates on how she's doing.
That's one of the best parts of the group: ensuring accountability for executing your ideas. Click here to try our group for a 14 or 30-day trial. And if you're someone who hasn't executed on your idea yet... GO DO IT!

If you really want to change it comes down to surrender. Anybody can be compliant for a little while. Surrending yourself is the purest mindset to wanting to change. - Khalil Rafati
Book Read This Week: I Forgot To Die
So I've been getting $20 Acai Bowls at SunLife Organic and heard the founder had a crazy story. This is his autobiography. It was bat shit crazy. A truly f*cked drug addict with terrible adversities growing up. But if he can literally come back from that to sell me $20 Acai Bowls on the regular... then anybody can do ANYTHING! Incredible read.
