I will not participate in your psychosis… except if you
Open a history book, read and learn. The world is marked by some events where a few committed individuals made a concerted effort to force huge mobs of people to participate in their psychotic behaviour. Remember that guy called Hitler (the gold standard of evil actions, though Stalin, King Leopold and Harry Truman might be worthy contenders for that title), remember Pol Pot, remember the Salem witch trials, remember the Queen and her merry band of colonisers chief among the Cecil Rhodes, remember apartheid architects, the list goes on. Of psychotic individuals who forced whole populations to participate in their psychosis, or did they? That is, did they really force people to participate in the psychosis? Or were people simply convinced to participate in this psychosis? I think it was a combination of both.
A cursory look at human beings shows that human beings tend to be very tribal. Divide them into tribes and point out the evils in the other tribes, you are bound to have one tribe willing to do whatever psychotic thing you desire on those other evil tribes. Here I have offered you a free lesson presented in Villain 101 courses. It is the famed divide and conquer evil ethic. Many have used it to great effect. So those desiring you to participate in their psychotic behaviour will simply vilify those standing in the way of their great design…remember the recent vilification of anti-….(you can finish the word on your own). That alone should show you that the great evil men of history, were not as evil as you are informed for they did not simply coerce but had willing participants who were convinced of the righteousness of their cause.
I did title this musing with a declaration that I will not participate in your psychosis except if…This is due to the increase in the demands for people to participate in issues they do not believe in or to act in ways deemed to adhere to the correct social norms. So when will I participate in your psychosis…if you use force and use some choice treats? But remember it is the nature of the pendulum to swing back and forth, one day it will swing my side and you might find yourself being coerced into participating in my own psychosis. Or should we call it quits and each abides in their own psychosis?
