The click rates were the same every hour of every day (hint: bots programmed to click at a certain rate)

Even at 1 cent CPMs, most programmatic ads are not worth it. If you must buy programmatic ads, at least have proper analytics (like FouAnalytics) to help you monitor and manage your campaigns more closely, optimize towards humans and away from fraud.

Furthermore, reviewing campaigns from other advertisers we see that clicks arriving on the landing page from utm_source=programmatic are mostly orange (declared bots) and dark red (bad bots). If you look closely, you might see the small slivers of dark blue (humans) which range from 1% - 4%. Only 1 - 4% of the clicks from programmatic are from humans.
