"If I owned a law firm..."

"If I owned a law firm..."

...is something I think about daily. You see, five years ago I jumped headfirst into LegalEase Marketing with a simple idea and a boatload of naivety. Picture this: I was green as grass; I didn't even know lawyers had specialties. To me, a lawyer was a lawyer, end of story. But oh, how wrong I was.

My co-founder, Jordan Ostroff, Esq. , dove deep with me into the labyrinth of law firm operations, illuminating paths I never knew existed. I brought my A-game in branding, automation, and advertising, thinking it'd be a smooth ride. Well, let's just say it was more like a rollercoaster in the dark. I was learning on the fly, adapting my skills to fit the unique beast that is growing a law firm. It's been a wild, enlightening, sometimes hair-pulling journey, but I wouldn't trade the knowledge I've picked up for the world.

I've learned a lot about law firms.

Along this crazy ride, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of law firm operations. I've never drafted a legal brief, but I sure as hell learned how to make a law firm's workflow sleek and efficient. Non-attorney sales person? Never been my gig. But figuring out what your potential clients are desperately seeking and how you, as a law firm, need to present yourself? That's where we shined. It’s about understanding not just the law, but the people behind it and those they serve. And that's what we became great at; translating the everchanging world of marketing and business operations into actions that grow a law firm.

So what do I do now?

Now, you might be wondering, what does an entrepreneur do with all this insider knowledge of law firms? The logical step? Dive right in and start a law firm. But you know the twist – I'm not a lawyer, and in most States, that means I can't own a law firm.

So, what's next for someone sitting on a goldmine of industry know-how but can’t use it in the most direct way? I channel it into helping those who can – the law firms themselves. I know not every law firm will sign up with my team. That’s just the nature of business. So I'm not here just to sell; I'm here to share.

This newsletter is my way of helping you cut through the mound of shit on the internet to deliver real, practical insights. Each week, I'll dive into the latest news, trends, and tactics, stripping away the fluff and getting down to how it applies to your law firm. I'm here to make sense of the chaos and to help you turn your law firm into the business we both know it can be.

LFG!

I’ve never owned a firm, but have worked for two. Never forget the “little guy”, the runner who gets that filing in, the receptionist who holds the line and knows a little bit of everything and the office manager who keeps it all together and running smoothe.
