I open my refrigerator 25 times a day even though I know exactly what's in it.

Shower schedules, Fedex friends, and phone addictions. These are just some of the things that have changed for me over the past 9 months. As I was showering last night around midnight, I realized that I hadn't taken a morning shower in quite some time. I hadn't really thought about the oddness of that until I got out and started to put pomade in my hair. Pomade at midnight? So as I climbed into bed, my mind started racing around all of the things that I now do differently than I did just 8 short months ago:
- I have worn out a path in my floors from all of the walking I do while I am on the phone.
- I work more. I used to spend a total of 20 hours in the car each week, but now I spend those hours working. I would gladly take that trade every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
- I check for the UPS delivery person.
- I check for the Fedex delivery person.
- I check for the Amazon delivery person.
- I wonder if I should tip them.
- I lose my Air Pods on a consistent basis. Even the Tile ring thing doesn't seem to help.
- I put on a dress shirt just to remember what it felt like to button up 6 buttons.
- I wear the same 3 pairs of pants each week. Jeans are a bonus these days.
- I appreciate my work and my team more. It's not just a job and a plane ride anymore.
- I don't take many days off even though we have unlimited days to take....nice perk BTW.
- I am officially addicted to my phone.
- I hate seeing dishes in the sink.
- I hug my kids more.
- I don't watch the news anymore.
- I realized how much I missed my kids and my girlfriend for all those days I was traveling.
- The days go by faster.
- I find it hard to find time to go to the restroom during work hours.
- My money goes into home repairs instead of martinis...although I will still have a few here and there.
- I floss more.
- I make dinner more and get excited about what I am making.
- I take a deep breath before I respond to things that used to aggravate me.
- I fill my car up with gas every 3 weeks instead of every 3 days.
- I get pissed when I see someone going down the wrong lane at the grocery store. Read the signs!
- I got my X-mas tree earlier this year.
- I drink more water now. I don't know how I ever lived without a Hydro Flask.
- I don't care about sports as much. This one is odd.
- I clean my floors a lot.
- I will go a whole day without leaving the house.
- I think I am a better human being.
Thanks for reading. I have to go check what's in the fridge.
