I Needed A Different Kind Of Buckle
This is for the Killer EDC Backpack I am working on. I was thinking of how the shoulder straps will come in 2 or 3 sizes, and that means that we will have to assemble the correct size shoulder straps to the pack at the time of shipping. Or, we will have to expect that the customer will install their own shoulder straps.
Either way it means that we need an easy way to do that. I already have a great way to attach the shoulder straps to the back panel for easy adjustment/replacement using the button in a slot method. But that doesn't really work at the point where the shoulder straps attach to the bottom of the pack. I thought of using one of the many types of hook buckles that are especially popular right now, but that just doesn't seem secure enough to me.
This may sound strange to some, but I was saying my prayers while I was taking my shower and this design popped into my head. Well, give credit where credit is due. Is it divinely inspired? I'm willing to think so.
If you like this design, please feel free to use it however you like. Let me know if you would like .dxf, .dwg, .stp, or .igs files.
I'll post again if and when this goes to production.
This is designed for 20mm webbing, and yes, there will be an black version.
