I Must Be Dumb
Janet Lawrence, BA
Surgical Technologist, Team Player, Entrepreneur at Heart
For every door that shuts in my face, I get down to my knees. My first reaction is defeat. At that time the thoughts are analyzing why and looking for the answers that will find another door ajar.
Each time I find myself energized more than before the rejection. I gather steam. My resilience, my conviction and my focus take a dose of Popeye spinach.
For all those "no's", "not interested" and "we are not able to consider . . .", I say thank you. For all the times I am turned away I learn, I improve and forge forward with full steam.
To those around me that have been so very supportive and believing in my mission and vision for Harmony, thank you for that loyalty and encouragement. You are the structure that allows me to weather the rejection. For all those that endorse our venture, I appreciate the understanding and insight advocating the vision.
What we are building is going to benefit nurses, surgeons and patients for many years to come in an industry that has become so disruptive. Harmony will inject the spinach into operating rooms to ride the waves of mandates and regulations sweeping healthcare. Harmony will bring compliance, safety and stability that is so precious in healthcare.
