I knew I loved you before I even met you,

when you were just a figment of my imagination.

I always thought of you and what you would

look like and how you would be.

And then the day came when you were a reality

and growing inside of me.

You were a part of me and I loved you even before

you materialized from a dream.

The day that you were born you took my breath away.

Everything that I hoped for and dreamed of was now

all coming true.

I couldn't believe this miracle that I was holding

in my arms.

I shared each precious moment in delight and wonder

of you, your first words, your first baby steps.

All of it seems so surreal to me.

I was there to wipe away your tears and rock you

fast to sleep.

And I loved the way you cooed and smiled.

You always looked up to me.

A mother's love is endless as endless as the earth

and sky.

And throughout the years I will always be here
