I love to write but I don't know where, how what to write about?

Are you asking this same question? Guess what? You are not alone

This is how Elvina Kebaya responded to my article Hack Your Way To Become An Authority Figure To Earn Big Bucks

"Thanks Ian for sharing this tips. I love to write but I actually did not know where, how and what I should write about.

My response actually became the full content of this article.

I did this because I know most of you PNG SME owners out there are asking the same question as Elvina.

My Response

Your issue is not "you don't know where, how to write"

And by the way, you just wrote here on a very professional platform that has well over 500 million users.

That means you know how to write and where to write.

And I am glad you figured it out fast that the one thing and the only thing that's holding you back is FEAR

Let me very quickly answer your questions and so others can also use this as lesson to better their writing.

Where to write?

Use LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest and any free channel available too test, learn and better your writing skills.

Don't go with expectation to win. Go with the spirit to LEARN. Don't expect quick results.

How to write?

Write just the way you speak

That's how the digital writing ecosystem works.

Writing the way you speak is is more human and more authentic.

If you do it for some time, you better your craft and you bound to gain small wins along the way and build your credibility and influence and start winning big.

Basic writing rules apply. The grammar, structure, flow etc. You know that.

What to write about?

What is that one thing you do that when you talked about it so passionately, you get people to pay attention?

You need to wrap your head around this fact that if you not passionate about what you do, there is no way you can talk about it passionately.

This is grossly oversimplified

Yes I know. Writing is not easy and what I shared above is grossly oversimplified.

But guess what? I can't tell you what I didn't do myself.

The idea is to make a lean start. Start where you are with what you have.

Here is the magic formula you need.

"Just write"
