I LOVE NEW YORK

I do truly LOVE New York State.  When our children were young, during the summer months we would pick and choose new adventures each summer – whether it be Thousand Islands, Adirondacks, Niagara Falls or NYC.  Last summer my husband Tom & I decided to get the Empire Passport.  Much like having a seasons pass at a ski resort, if we had the “passport” we would get out there and explore New York State Parks.

In 2015 we visited these State Parks:  Green Lakes, Sandy Island Beach, Fair Haven, Letchworth, Clark Reservation, Chittenango Falls and Buttermilk Falls.  While Green Lakes has been on our summer bucket list always, I am sorry to say that some of these were first time visits.  We asked ourselves, “How, have we missed these beautiful landscapes”?  

We didn’t hesitate to renew the pass, in fact purchase a three year pass this year. Last weekend our visit to Watkins Glen State Park did not disappoint.  Wow, what a natural beauty.

As we turn the calendar to a new month next week, what is on your summer bucket list?
