Annoying things said to me, being from Seattle:

“You have an “accent”. ??

“You talk white.” ??

“Does it rain a lot?” ????

“Are there black people there?” ????? #wakandaSEATTLE lol

Now, if you’re from the Emerald City then you know that:

People from Seattle say they’re from Seattle, when they really are from Bremerton or Tacoma. ??

We tend to say “Hella” a lot. ?????♀?

You’re not a TRUE Seattle-lite, if you’ve never ridden the #7 Metro bus. ??

You wouldn’t truly understand the SouthEnd /Central “beef”, if you didn’t go to Garfield, Franklin, Rainier Beach High School or just were born in either parts of town.

Private Schools known off the top of the dome: Kennedy, O'dea, Holy Names Academy (Hey, Angela Rye!)

The only state I knew of that had an “all black school” where students thrived called, African American Academy (Better known As "Triple A") but sadly, is no more.

No one actually goes to the Space Needle if you’re from here, unless you work there.

The one city I know of with a Gum Wall. (all ABC, folks!)

Field trips to the Aquarium got played out in 1st grade.

Seattle Center was where you either went on your first date, hung out with friends, went on a field trip, or stalled for time before attending a concert/basketball game at The Key Arena.

The Bite of Seattle is where you dressed cute for new ‘onlookers’ or where u tried alligator for the very 1st time.

Bellevue Square’s considered our “bourgie” Mall. ???????? #ouioui

When the Seattle Super Sonics NBA team left, our city ain’t been the same since.

Pho ?? & Asian food is a true Delicacy in Seattle. You won’t understand if you’ve never lived here. It’s almost disrespectful to pass up an invite to go to a restaurant that serves it.

To be a “12th Man Fan” is an Understatement (in regards to our beloved Seahawks) BTW: we have gladly adopted Singer Ciara as the newest edition of Team Wife & Mom.?? “Hey, Ci Ci” ????.
