I love my Monday- Do you?

I have traveled quite a bit of the world and every where I have gone I have had a great opportunity to interact with young students during my career counselling workshops and one of the most asked question in those workshops has been- How do we become successful in Life? What is the Mantra? Ohh!! dear teacher- please tell us!

And, I have a simple question for them- Do you love your Monday or Do you hate it? The answer more often than not is in negative where in children tell me- we hate our Mondays; we hate coming to school! We always look forward to our weekends to escape from this daily drudgery called school life.

Now, I ask the same question to teachers present- Do you love your Monday or Do you hate it? Teachers being Teachers are not able to open up but if you read the body language you can sense easily that not many of them are really enjoying their first working day of the week. Which if we do the Maths means 5 days out of 7 (More than 70% of time) in a week are spent by majority of the people sulking. This is a staggering figure- how would anyone enjoy life or be counted successful if you hate 70% of your life time?

Now, I ask them to imagine a Key Public Figure- let us say a personality like Virat Kohli or A.R Rahman sulking on a Monday and looking forward to their weekends. Do you think they do that? Does Kohli think before every match on why he has to go out again? or does A.R. Rahman think why in the world he has to create more music? No- right? They do it because they love doing what they are doing. They do it because that is who they are! And, although definitely they do look forward to their weekends but they are equally(If not more!) passionate about their Monday's!

So, If you want to be successful in Life- start doing something which makes you fall in love with your Monday's! That is the first step you require & that is my Mantra in Life!
