I lost my green Pilot G2 Premium Retractable Gel-Ink Rolling Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point (0.5mm)

Pilot G2 Premium Retractable Gel-Ink Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point (0.5mm).

These are my pens.

I have been a Pilot G2 Premium Retractable Gel-Ink Rolling Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point (0.5mm) stan since I frantically copied down a diagram of the carbon cycle in the back of Ms. Lewis’ AP environmental studies class.?

I am one of those people: the one who color codes their agenda and obsesses over their notebook aesthetic. (I have – as much as it hurts to admit – even brought a ruler to class to ensure the lines of my graphs were straight).?

This meticulous approach to note-taking manifests itself in all areas of my life.

Yeah, yeah, I know...?another “perfectionist, try-hard” story. Don’t worry, I am not going to bore you recounting every nuanced thing that reflects my twisted, nit-picky brain.

There’s just one caveat: my bedroom.

As painstakingly particular as I am with my pen-color choice, I am as carelessly sloppy with my room.?

Clothes: on the floor.

Desk: unusable.?

AirPods: in the foot of my bedsheets for 2 weeks???

This dichotomy – the precision vs. the clutter – puzzles me.?

I find myself searching for a why – Why can’t I chill out? Why can’t I locate my matching shoe? Why can’t I find balance??

I’ve accepted that it’s not worth my time to spiral into deep introspection about the complexities of my consciousness – that would do me in. Rather, I have come to appreciate and adapt to the contradiction, as it is not the first or the last my brain will spring on me.?

For now, I just need to find my green Pilot G2 Premium Retractable Gel-Ink Rolling Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point (0.5mm). I swear I left it next to my notebook…?
