I know what you’re thinking

Is now the right time to start investing?

Or is the stock market ‘too high’?

I get this question all the time. 

And truth be told, I’m also subject to these thoughts from time to time (more often than I would like to admit, in fact).

But whenever I start trying to double guess stock market movements and make emotional (or should I say ‘irrational’) decisions, I remind myself of hard facts and stats.

And one of the most critical facts is this: whatever is happening, compounding is the only thing that really pays off. 

Compounding is when you start getting a return on the return you earned last year, the year before, and so forth.  

It’s like when you get dividends on dividends on dividends on dividends, and so forth. 

The payoff starts very slow, and then it accelerates – like crazy – once you have been investing for more than ten years. 

Compounding is not just luck or speculation. And it’s not about picking the right time to enter the market. 

It’s a mathematical formula that will apply to your portfolio no matter when you start…

… if you give it the time it needs to kick in.
