Part 2: EdTech & Psychology
Imagine someone telling you, "I know what you’re going to be when you grow up." Surprising, right? It’s not just your mom or grandma speaking, it's AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) with the power of predictive analytics, using your data from health, school data, social media, IoT, and more to forecast your future.
But what if it didn’t just predict your future, but also guided you, helping you steer clear of bullies and evaluating you based on your true potential? What if it could recalibrate your path if needed, ensuring that a couple of hours assessment on a bad day doesn’t define your entire life?
Picture this: you’re a teenager with dreams, yet the future feels unclear. Your parents want you to be an engineer or doctor, your teachers suggest IT, and your friends say, “Follow your passion.” But what if none of those paths feels right for you?
Enter AGI, the ultimate career matchmaker. It’s not just throwing out random job titles, it’s crafting a dynamic, evolving plan tailored specifically for you. AGI doesn’t just know where you’ve been; it sees where you’re going and where you could end up if you follow its guidance.
In schools, AGI could also play a critical role in preventing bullying and identifying potential threats before they escalate, creating a safer, more supportive environment for students.
However, the idea of AGI predicting someone’s future raises concerns. What if it nudges you toward a path that doesn’t lead to success? How do we balance the benefits with the ethical and privacy challenges?

The key is to see AGI’s recommendations as guidance, not absolute truth (at least till the models become perfect). The final decision is and should always be yours.
Now, imagine a world where every student has access to an AGI advisor from the moment they start asking, "What do I want to be when I grow up?" No more one-size-fits-all advice and cookie cutter evaluations, just personalized and adaptive guidance that evolves with you, leading to a future that’s as unique as you are.
AGI isn’t just about predicting the future; it’s about helping you shape it. It opens doors you never knew existed and guides you toward a future that’s exciting and full of possibilities.
But here’s the catch: AGI can’t foresee everything. It can’t predict the outliers the unpredictable events that could change your life’s trajectory. That’s where you come in. The choices you make, the risks you take, the uncharted paths you explore, these are what truly define your future, recalibrating the AGI to help it help you.
Food for Thought: Could the ancient practice of Kundali (personal horoscopes, not generic but specific to a Person with longitude, latitude, time etc) have been an early attempt to chart one’s future based on logic? It offered probably a single path, but perhaps it missed life-changing events. What do you think?
