I know what a CEO needs from their service providers (and it’s not all serious stuff)
I’m a CEO myself and have worked for decades with and for other C-suiters, which places me in the perfect position to predict what my guests need from their chauffeur service. Bear with me on this one, it’s important information, but it’s interesting too!
Excellent communication
First of all the CEO has enough on their plate with managing the company, organising presentations and agendas and so on without having the need to source meeting venues and transportation. That’s when they rely on their Executive Assistant to have an open channel of clear communication with service providers such as myself.
Additionally, I have a wide and varied network including venue finders, event managers and 5-star caterers that I can call upon to further assist the EA in their role. Communication is essential in logistics, and if I can clarify that I am happy to be of service.
For example, who else will pick up a message at nearly 9pm and be ready to act on a rescheduled pick-up time? Who else will have that conversation with the other parties concerned with the logistics of the day?
Embracing technology
Of course, communication tactics have to embrace technology to be anywhere near good, but any CEO understands the application of technology goes further than that, especially in the travel and private transport sector.
In fact, I have become known in my circles as the go-to person for advice and guidance on the installation of dedicated Wi-Fi services on board chauffeur driven vehicles. A Wi-Fi service that goes beyond ‘hotspots’ and allows the vehicle to act as a mobile office…
When my female guest was on her way to give a key-note speech at a large conference and her tights snagged and got a run, who else had the technology to find the nearest shop selling these items? Who else had on-board secure journey tracking so the people waiting to greet her knew where she was, and that she was safe at all times?
Discretion
Discretion is of primary concern in my profession, I hold my drivers to account, continue training and never allow selfies – even when I met my own personal hero (true story)!
Deals that are discussed, negotiations undertaken, agreements made, prices and cost, private matters, and even personal taste in music, film or food and drink never leave the car by means of The Summit.
And if you need to sneak out of a venue, and be shielded from flashing camera lights, I have any number of decoy vehicles ready and waiting…
Anything at all!
I could go on, explaining more benefits of an executive chauffeur service, run by me, but I also know that what you want are interesting stories… Now, considering what I’ve just said about discretion, I cannot divulge too much information, but I can give you almost anything else!
Rescheduling to a 4am pickup, oat milk lattes, being fashionably late, catching you when you slip in the rain, fighting off paparazzi, allowing a foreign dignitary’s teenager to entertain friends, chasing muggers (and getting hurt in the action), even spotting shooting stars (and hiding actual stars under coats in the backseat).
All these stories, and more are in my LinkedIn profile posts, and I’d love for you to join me there. As a CEO myself, I do know that particulars are important, but sometimes, the C-Suite just want to be entertained and looked after…
