"I know that I know nothing"

A lot has happened since this day, 04 December 2017 – a Training Manager and a recipient of the MiWay CEO Awards. A few days, after receiving this award I resigned, something that I had given thought and planned over 3 years. Resigning from the corporate world in the quest of being an independent training facilitator and pursuing my dream of building my own training academy.

At the time it seemed I had a well thought plan - establishing a training company was going to be a walk in the park – because I know enough about the Learning & Development industry (I told myself…) to make it a success… only to find out I still have so much to learn. It did not make sense then, when I came across all these roadblocks. I could not understand why God had put this burning desire in me to venture out into starting my own thing only to let me fail.

And then it dawned on me. I had to get out of my comfort zone to realize that I still have a lot to learn. I had to fail so that I can wake up from the state of false consciousness. God delayed the process so he could expose me to the right people, with the relevant skills, shared values, and visions - expose me to new level of learnings. God delayed the process so he could further develop and shape me for my purpose.

I am grateful for the last 3 years of my career life. I have learnt so much in all the moments I had deemed as failure. I am also thankful for the LinkedIn platform and all the inspirational and success stories shared on this platform. They really kept me going.

I am so excited about the future for I know that my dream shall come to pass.

The Journey continues – I am back in the corporate world as Learning Manager at Hollard Group Risk and honored to work with some of the most passionate, talented, and successful individuals in the industry, the most revealing experience it is.

I might have changed the way to get there but the ambition kept.
