I just finished this past Monday a three-month consulting contract with an Association in helping them identify, define and now incorporate their key core values. The process was a multi-level approach by facilitating Zoom calls with their volunteer committee; results from an internal survey for Board members, Staff, and Association members and then focus groups to further get input to help streamline to value identification process.
This way all staff, Board members, and Members at large, had the opportunity to participate in their core values development
“Thank you for taking the extra time with us to conduct these focus groups which I think were essential in identifying our top 3-5 core values. Your involvement has been very beneficial for that outside perspective and we so appreciate your flexibility these last few months. We’ll keep you posted on our progress and certainly looking forward to sharing our final work.” From the team leadership of the Association
If I can help your Association with development or an updating of your core values, codes of ethics, mission statements. etc. please don’t hesitate to ask. These are the foundation of why your Association exists. But like any foundation, there are times it may need to be re-enforced, stabilized, and at times completely replaced. All Associations have the obligation to their members, board, and especially its staff to be values-based and principle-driven in all they do for good of all.
Feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have about the process, etc.
Peace and All Good,
Frank
