I just can't do this anymore...

"I can’t do this anymore. Maybe I'm just not cut out for this!"

Oooohhh it's that horrible negative thought that suddenly creeps into your mind when running your business all gets a bit too much.

Let's be honest leaving the safety and security of a well paid corporate role to start your own venture is not an easy one.

But to consider giving up the dream of freedom, writing your own rules and fulfilling those entrepreneurial ambitions you always had is much harder.

And the reality of potential failure when your stomach does a flip turn as you type in your search words on the job hunting sites can send you into a spiral of despair.

The challenge that many corporate escapees face is that the passion that led them to start their own business is taken over by ego when the going gets tough (...ouchy!).

When the status, the power, the money they once experienced in abundance has gone and they realise that they're now on their own...

… it's a vulnerability they're not used to facing up to.

They're exposed as the mask they once wore has been removed.

It's at this point you need to make a decision. 

a)    Go all in?

Or 

b)   back the hell out and pick up my mask on the way?

You see the reason so many find making their business a success so hard has probably got nothing to do with their business at all.

And everything to do with THEM.

And this is the mistake that so many who’ve spent 20+ years in corporate make.

They’re smart, educated, high achievers with a great deal of knowledge, experience and skills to transfer into their business. But this is only going to get them 20% of the way towards the success they’re looking to achieve.

This is because 80% of success is down to mindset.

Yes, mindset.

This is why you see people with less skills, knowledge and experience who do the same thing as you absolutely nailing it.

All because they have the right mindset.

And unfortunately, too many people go into business putting personal development to one side, investing everything in their business and not in themselves.

They then get a year or two in to their business venture and find themselves frustrated with not reaching their goals, having not replaced their corporate salary and are starting to feel the pinch as they see their savings start to dwindle.

It’s really quite stressful.

But business does not need to be this hard.

In fact, business should be relatively easy, and FUN!

But this only happens when you’re operating from a place of alignment – your genius zone.

When you have fully defined your personal brand and your business is a genuine reflection of this.

This is when you’ll be free from the ‘corporate’ person you moulded yourself into and get back to the true essence of you.

The one that has complete confidence in yourself and clarity on your future direction.

When you no longer doubt yourself or your abilities because you’re leveraging your best assets.

You’ll be attracting the people you want to connect with.

You’ll experience increased energy and be laser focused.

And most importantly seeing the results you know you’re more than capable of achieving.
