I hit TWO best-seller lists this weekend!
My second novel - The Girl Who Made Them Pay - hit TWO national bestseller lists this weekend as a result of an international promotion.
It broke through the impossible (to me) 100 line barrier in Australia and Canada.
It's #53 on Amazon's Australian store and #21 overall in Canada today. This means the book has charted over a majority of fiction books, nonfiction books, children's books, debut books, old books, ancient books etc...
It's #396 in the UK today, which is the highest I've ranked in that country, but it still has far to go. Fingers remain crossed.
I realize the term "bestseller" is constantly abused and misused. While I've received dozens of bestseller badges on Amazon USA, the largest bookstore on the planet where eight-million plus books compete with each other, I've never considered myself a bestselling author. Getting a badge simply does not make one. It felt disingenuous to do so, at best.
But to push through the 100 line barrier in two countries means a lot. Industry standards decree that the overall 100 line mark to be a bestselling book on Amazon.
This is a huge milestone for me. I am bringing the champagne out!
Thank you to my dear Canadian and Australian readers. I'm grateful to you for picking up my stories.
My sincere hope is that my books will make you wonder a bit more about our world, that you will fall in love with the diverse characters I’ve created, that you will laugh and cry, and you will feel thrilled as you sit at the edge of your seat, biting your nails, cursing me for keeping you up all night.
Enjoy the books, dear readers.
