I heard the most beautiful and breath taking speech today from Rabbi Goldstein (and many others) speaking at the UN General Assembly on anti-Semitism. I wanted to share it with you. If we could only hear this every morning before we start our day. If you would like to watch and skip to the core go here: 17:30 on the bar timeline (although the entire speech is important - if you do not believe in god or a higher spirit when listening to the entirety of the speech, please insert the word LOVE with the word god.) Or if you do not have the time to watch, I have highlighted the portions below that meant the most to me...
"We need to flood the internet with tremendous amounts of love, words of kindness, words of compassion and words of inspiration. It is true that new technology and media can be used to spread darkness and hatred. But if hate can leap across continents, through it, so can love and light...that will defeat it! If darkness can be spread through words and ideas, so can light that will out shine it!
Let us imagine, for a moment, what if everyone in the world started today? Thinking about doing something positive for someone else. Contemplating about the sanctity of life, about life's purpose and about how to make the world a more peaceful place. What if that person was you? What if that was your neighbor, your boss, your co-worker and the whole world? If we can imagine it, we can do it..."
I hope you all enjoy it, embrace it as I did. Have a beautiful day. Much Love. Natalie. Please feel free to tag/share with your children, a friend, a co-worker. Let them feel inspired, brighter and bigger than they are. Go out today, and try to do one nice thing for someone else. I promise you, you will feel the rewards more than the person you are giving a hand up!
