I Have You...
Rev. Daniel Bramlett
Minister at Total Spiritual Development Addiction Counselor
I received a message today from a friend and it just reminded me that we are no better than our own weaknesses. There isn't a perfect person reading this, and in some form or another we all abuse or over indulge in something...Like it or not Im talking about you, your friends, your family, neighbor, and myself.
I believe that we should be an angel to someone else whenever we can, as a way of thanking God for the help your angel has given you...Its always a great exercise for the heart to bend down and help someone get back up. We need to always treat others with kindness...You never know what burdens people bear or what they are going through. You also have power to lift their spirits or break them completely...Know that even if it is a very tiny act of goodness and you do it out of love in hopes that no one notices. Know that one little act of kindness can ripple out in countless ways that you may never know. You do need to please know that you can only help a person who is willing to help themselves...Without their help, its just a waste, because they have to be involved...in order to receive it. Remind yourself that an addiction is a disease, because even when you're "clean" you still have to fight it. Just be clean today, worry about tomorrow when it gets here...Some things are harder to let go of than others. Strength or weakness have nothing to do with it. It's about faith, and knowing that you'll be OK. Just remember that Jesus is like the wind, though you can't see it, you can still see its effects..."Oh LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief." Psalm 143:1...Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. ..lay your burdens down here at the foot of the cross. Matthew 11:28...By Daniel Bramlett
