I have some behavioural patterns to unlearn

Really speaking you don't “unlearn” anything in life but you, simply, learn a new version and keep using that new version of something then, you may forget about the old thing, because you haven't used it in a while. “Unlearning" is for simpletons or idiots. It's not a thing. Simply said you always adopt or adapt to the new learning and thereby you unlearn those unwanted obsolete things which make no sense to you anymore.
What happens, is, you attempt to overwrite the old information with new info, but, like any geologist and computer scientist would tell you, it's difficult to “un" anything, at least, not with, just, one new version. Take that previous sentence i wrote… even though i wrote it with all those commas, as my “improved" version of grammar, I, still, know how to write it without (just to appease traditionalists)… “what happens is, you… info, but like any…tell you it's …anything, at least not with just one new version.” You don't unlearn… you just learn anew and continue with the new revised or improved version of life ahead of you.
Why would you want to unlearn all or some of the things you possess? Every attitude and behavior you’ve learned in your life deserves to be thrown in the garbage? Make a list of all the behaviours and attitudes you want to change away from, with a second column that shows the beliefs that underlie those behaviors and attitudes. Make another list of all the behaviors and attitudes you want to adopt, along with the beliefs that underlie them. It is the beliefs that you need to change.
At this point, you have to make some decisions. You can work on the biggest, most foundational belief pair and away from and towards or you might experiment with something easier as a practice run. Immerse yourself in the belief you want to adopt. Read about it. Read about people who profess it and live it. Spend time with people who profess it and live it. First prepare yourself for the real possibility that you will spend the rest of your life fighting against the old behaviors and attitudes, and for the new.
And to unlearn your behaviours and attitudes, you first have to recognize them. There are a number of ways you can approach this, none of which are complete on their own. Even my list is incomplete here and by learning more about history and different ways people think, you can find the origins of your own beliefs and find holes in your thinking. Once you see a different approach to thinking, you can start to use them in addition to your own methods, if you choose from.
Always through travel, you’re exposed to new ideas and belief systems that other people use to structure their day. It’s been shown that the language people use influences their behaviors and thinking. If you can expose yourself to these new methods through travel, especially if you’re able to learn a language along the way, you can find new ways to approach our lives.
