I have a new Job?!

I know what some of you are thinking.  How could he possibly handle one more thing?  Well it's true.  I have taken on a sideline, a new career path if my modeling does not work out.  I wonder if I have to disclose this, we are in the age of full disclosure, transparency and the like. 

Seriously, look at that thing.  How many steps does it really take to scan your purchases?  How many different platforms, networks and connecting cables make this thing run. 

Better hope you grabbed the apples WITH that little sticker on them.  No, now you have to weigh them.  Why does it "beep" so often?  Hold on, you double scanned something. Now the "cashier overlord" has to click some button.  Wait ... coupons? 

There are many angles I can, and probably will take with this but I make this post short.

Self-serve may work in the fast food industry.  Electronic transactions are fast.  I stepped into the line for convenience and speed.  Not to mention the store only had two lanes open and most of those people were loaded up like a blizzard was coming.  Oh, and they were going to pay by check.  It's really my fault.  I knew this would happen, but I did it anyway.
