I have never found myself to be a photo journalist

Photography is an art form that I am passionate about, but never really put a ton of effort into. I tend to put it on the back burner even though I love it. Right now it is not a priority in my life as my family needs my time more than photography. I have gone through seasons where I tell myself that I am a specific type of photographer, however looking back I find that I have a photo journalist style and I like to tell stories with my photos. Some make you in awe of the natural world around us and others bring out the joy of child like play. I just want to share my view of the world through imagery.

It's not every day that we get to experience amazing things or go out and travel. Sometimes we take the most common things for granted and never really look at the world that is around us. It is fun to take photos when we travel and go to different places, but sometimes we need to take a step back and find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Over the next few months I plan to find the emotion in something that is ordinary and plan to share it with you all. Keep and eye out for what might speak to you in the ordinary things of life that you have never noticed before.
