When my children were very young we had a discussion about the war in Iraq.


My son said “Oh that is not good. I have friends in Iraq.”
His sister, who was older and wiser, with some sense of geography answered,


“You can’t have friends in Iraq.”


“Mommy tell him he doesn’t have friends in Iraq.”


My son pushed in with “Yes I do! I was friends with them when we were with God and that is where they were going!”


Now, 15 years later, my son is approaching his 18th Birthday. I cannot help but wonder how his friends in Iraq have fared. I wonder what their lives have been like.


Are they bringing new hope to their land as my son shares his light here? Will their life paths ever cross with my son’s and if they do, will their souls recognize each other?


Imagine our world when everyone remembers their pre-birth Friends!
