I hated the subject, but the teacher's passion made me love it…

Did the thought of learning English in school ever make you sick to your stomach??
Did you ever wish you could escape from the boring teacher, textbooks, and tests?
For me, that dreaded course was political science.?
Just the thought of spending the next four months learning this boring subject from a stiff teacher, a thick textbook, and scary tests, made me sick to my stomach!
That's why I put off taking this course until the very last semester.?
But to graduate, I had to get a passing grade, so I couldn't delay it any longer.?
It was the first day of the semester and I reluctantly carried my thick political science book and fresh notebook across campus, stepping into the classroom with a frown on my face.?
I sat down at a desk near the back and took out my new notebook, ready to take all those boring notes.?
The teacher took a roll call, went to the blackboard, and picked up a piece of chalk.
I took my pen out and got ready to write down all the boring things he was about to write on the board.
Who knew when the first test would be?
He started explaining the political system and wrote frantically on the board. We couldn't see what he was writing.
He began waving his arms in circles and moving his body around as if he were dancing. He was talking with so much energy that everyone in the class was captivated.?
I sat up straight and listened with big eyes.
His voice went up and down, sometimes almost whispering, sometimes shouting, and sometimes even squeaking with excitement. He was so passionate—you could tell he lived and breathed politics.
Finally, when he stepped back from the blackboard, I could clearly see what he had written.
But there was nothing to write down.
Instead, the blackboard was filled with doodles, swirls, lines, and circles. No words. No sentences.
I left the classroom with an empty notebook but on fire with excitement about him and political science.?
He was more than just a teacher to me. He was a passionate person, sharing his expertise with his students.
Believe me, I couldn’t wait for the next day and the next four months.
The same goes for me.
