'I hate how I look in photos. How do I look better in photos?'?

'I hate how I look in photos. How do I look better in photos?'

'It's me people are buying when they work with me! I'm the secret sauce, the magic, the point of difference - but they don't know who I am because I don't put myself out there in my marketing. I hate how I look in photos. How do I look better in photos?'

This is certainly something I hear and get asked often! If only I received a $ each time - I'd be one very wealthy woman!!!

Don't worry it's a common problem - not having images we're proud of. In fact, it would be the biggest cause holding businesswomen and entrepreneurs back from confidently stepping into the spotlight of their business and truly connecting and engaging to their buyers.

Let's face it, no one wants to use images of themselves that they don't like. I mean no one wants to look awkard or nervous - I know I don't.

We're more likely to promote ourselves when we have images we're proud of - when we like the way we look. So to get you started, here're a few tips to help you become more confident in front of the camera:

{TIP 1} Breath! You’ll look more relaxed and confident if you take a gentle breath in, reaching about third lung capacity, just as the photo is taken.

{TIP 2} Work your shoulders! Many people show tension through their shoulders. To look more confident, try and get as much space as possible between your ears and shoulders.

{TIP 3} Smile! Ok, get those crow's feet crowing. Yep, you heard right – use the muscles which create those well-earned laugh lines. Give it a go in the mirror, have a practice, feel those muscles move and notice how confident you look.

And one more tip for you: not a tip you can do yourself, but one that will create for you the biggest impact of all - be guided by a pro! There's nothing like having a professional brand photographer on your side to guide you and direct you so you look amazing. Think of it like your bridesmaid, your wing-woman and your bestie all rolled into one - someone who's got your back and their whole purpose is to create a collection of images where you look amazing (and also authentically connect with your target market).

If you'd love to have images you can be proud of and wonder how professional personal brand portraits and marketing photos can help you get the results you deserve in business, pop over to www.jowestaway.com.au or drop me a line.
