I had to thrown in the Towel!!

Top of the weekend my friend! I confess, I had to throw in the towel. To be honest, I didn't see it coming too!

You hear about this type of thing happening to other people. But you never, ever in your wildest imaginations, believe it would happen to you!

I had to throw in the towel!

It began harmlessly, while I was on my 8 mile walk. Instead of my traditional high school strolling track. This adventure would become more of a neighborhood saunter that would change the way I bathe and shower. Come a little closer for this tale of comic embarrassment.

As I was saying during my recent walking routine, I will very rarely stop at a store. However this day was different. And what is particularly strange or better yet intriguing was I began noticing stores I've overlooked.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 35 years the change went unnoticed. I would generally feel ho-hum about this stuff. But for some reason not on this day, it was fascinating to me.

There was a few new stores, a doughnut shop right next to weight watchers. (Get behind me Satan) Add to that, a new barbershop and around the corner a pet hospital and Goodwill. My walking detour would guide me into the Goodwill.

While strolling the aisles, I saw a really beautiful flower vase. Immediately a few wonderful ladies, came to mind. I thought, they might like this. I'll buy it as a gift.

That's when it happen. As I picked up the vase to look at it more closely. There was a towel stuck to the bottom of it. Which knocked over vase next to it and broke it.

Embarrassed that I inadvertently broke this item. I felt obligated to buy something so I said throw in the towel.

The vase wasn't as nice as I thought. Although the towel interestingly enough felt really soft yet firm. Hummmmm?

After giving it a quick wash (like most new things) I used that towel the next day. Oh my God!!!! It felt wonderful. I can't believe I'm saying this but it has become my new favorite towel. No I'm not kidding! I never had a towel fettish before! Help me Lord Jesus!!

So much so I went on a crusade to find another one just like it. Now I'm still old school. I didn't want to get it online. I need to personally feel it before I buy. Here's where the journey begins. Everyplace that advertised they had it, said it was either discontinued or out of stock. This week when Bed, Bath and Beyond announced their going out of business sale. I'm there!!

Once again I can get it online. Ugh! Then divine intervention kicked in. One of the customers who overheard my conversation. Pulled out her phone and said I just saw that brand on sale at Belk's. I was just 8 miles away from that store.

Just like I was on a mission from God! I was on it. They had plenty and was on sale for half price! Yay!!!!!!!! I've never felt a towel so soft and yet firm before.

The brand is the "Charisma" luxury towels. It's made from 100% Hygro cotton and made in India. I've also found another one called the "Biltmore" which is very similar. It's made in. Charlotte 100% Egyptian Cotton. One might say I was in High Cotton! (pardon the pun) I never thought towels could be so addictive!

In closing, I never knew throwing in the towel would be so much fun! I'm sure there are a lot of bath towels that are just as good. However during my search I just haven't found them yet!

Remember, it's the simple things of life that are truly rich in delight and enjoyment. Donut ever forget it!
