I had a client tell me the other day that she was unloveable.

I'm sure it's not the first time she said it, but I worked with her until she committed to that time, being the last. She carried that story, that limiting belief with her for over 3 decades. Quite a long time to hang onto something that was so very clearly not true. She was so loveable. Just the way she was. She just didn't see it.

I speak at a lot of events, and while the titles vary based on the audience and the environment, the core issues remain the same. We ALL have these stories that have plagued us for decades. Stories that were implanted in us from a very young age - most between the ages of 8 and 13 and from that moment, they were reinforced over and over and over again.

According to the National Science Foundation, we produce an average of 50,000 thoughts per day. 95% of these thoughts are on REPEAT. It doesn't take a Joyologist to figure out the opportunity for improvement here. If 95% of these thoughts are on repeat, it seems to me that we can easily retrain our brains, the ego (more specifically) to learn another story.

We have the power to change the narrative. We just lack the awareness, skill set, time or steps to make the change. I'd invite you to explore these stories with the curiosity of that 8-13 year old that first heard them and allow yourself the space, the freedom and the grace to retrain your ego to learn a different story.
