I had ChatGPT do my homework, and then I critiqued it.

I had ChatGPT do my homework, and then I critiqued it.

Alright for this blog I am doing something different. I had ChatGPT 3.5 write about generative AI in digital marketing not only that but I critiqued it at the end, so stick around to see what I have to say about the blog. Let's get started!!

Prompt

This is the prompt I gave the AI, "Could you please write me a blog on the use of generative AI in general and then specifically in digital marketing?" Lets see what it spit out for me.

However, one area where generative AI is truly reshaping the landscape is in digital marketing.

The Rise of Generative AI

Generative AI, a subset of artificial intelligence, is designed to mimic human creativity by generating content, images, or even entire pieces of media autonomously. At its core lies deep learning algorithms, capable of analyzing vast datasets to identify patterns and create original content. This ability to generate content has opened up a myriad of possibilities across various industries.

Critique Time

It was fun using ChatGPT 3.5, it was cool to see that you could literally ask it anything and it will form an answer. Even though technology like this is useful and cool it does have its obvious lack in human touch. I'll delve deeper into my critique of the blog in the following paragraphs.

While the blog provides a comprehensive overview of the applications of generative AI in digital marketing, it lacks certain elements that a human writer could bring to the table. It could benefit from a more engaging and distinctive voice to captivate readers and maintain their interest throughout the piece. The content could also be enriched with deeper insights and real-world examples to illustrate its points effectively. Human writers often draw from personal experiences or case studies to add depth and nuance to their arguments.

The blog could explore more creative angles or speculative ideas about the future of AI in marketing, as human writers often bring a level of creativity and originality that can spark new ideas and perspectives. Incorporating emotional elements or storytelling techniques could also create a stronger connection with the audience, as human writers often appeal to emotions, values, or aspirations to resonate with readers on a deeper level.

Lastly, while the blog briefly touches upon ethical considerations, a human writer might delve deeper into the ethical implications of AI in marketing, such as privacy concerns, and societal impact. While the blog effectively communicates the potential of generative AI in digital marketing, it could benefit from the human touch to make the content more engaging, insightful, and emotionally resonant.

Digimark in the Future

I recently listened to a podcast named "How ChatGPT can change the future of jobs - starting with your own." and it brought up some good points on where generative AI is headed in the digital marketing world. The guest on the podcast is a journalist for the New York Times and he explained what he uses AI for and what he doesn't. The guest uses AI for everything except actually writing the columns in the newspaper stating "it is not good at producing high-quality outputs when it comes to things like newspaper columns." He is glad that this is the case since it allows for some pride when submitting work. He goes further to say that he does use it for brainstorming, research, and summary purposes to get the information quickly and not have to spend as much time on work that doesn't require diligence in work. Says it is very helpful and makes his work more efficient for the "basic stuff." AI can be useful and helpful at times but there will always be a need for humans at every job so as far as answering where AI will be in the future, I would say it is going to be more of a tool people could use to get busy work done but it won't eliminate jobs.

What about you what role do you think generative AI has in the future? Let me know in the comments below!
