I had ChatGPT do my homework...... and then I critiqued it!
Prompt: "Write a blog post about how AI effects digital marketing."
Here is what ChatGPT wrote:
Title: "Revolutionizing the Digital Landscape: The Impact of AI on Digital Marketing"

My ChatGPT experience:
This is not my first time using ChatGPT, since sometimes I usually use it whenever I need some ideas so ChatGPT would help me brainstorm some recommendations. I don't really trust ChatGPT since I'm not too sure if the information they give us is accurate and trustworthy. It would be a lot of work for me to use ChatGPT since I have to make sure the information is accurate, and it would be a lot of rework which can be annoying.
Did ChatGPT succeed with the blog post?
When I read this blog post, it looked simple and vague. ChatGPT split the information up into different paragraphs, but they all have 2-5 sentences not giving a lot of detail about the subject. I also asked ChatGPT to give me sources, but no sources were given to me so this whole blog was written from ChatGPT's knowledge, and that made me question whether the information is factual or not. I think ChatGPT could go further in details about the topic, and this is a great start for those that need some ideas generated about their blog post, but I wouldn't recommend copying what ChatGPT says instead just use it as a idea generator.
The Future of AI:
Now, what does this mean for us marketing in the long run? Now, AI can't do things like write pieces, but that doesn't mean it can't get better. However, even if AI writes a piece exactly the way it's supposed to be written, it won't be as good as if a person did it. If you use it right, AI is a great tool. AI will change our future jobs a lot if it is used to come up with ideas or do small tasks instead of big ones. Forbes says that AI might be able to take away some data jobs in the far future. However, AI will probably never replace marketing teams because creativity is what makes marketing work.
