My Experience with Using ChatGPT

In the past couple of months, I started to hear an increase in buzz around ChatGPT. Beforehand I had no idea what it was besides ChatGPT being a chatbot. Loading up the website was smooth and surprising easily after hearing how much it could do with its written responses. Creating an account was fast and the hardest part of the process what coming up with a prompt that would satisfy my requirements for this assignment. The prompt I used when asking ChatGPT to write me a response was, “What does the future of digital marketing look like with advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning”

  3. Enhanced customer experience: AI and ML can assist in providing more personalized and seamless customer experiences across channels. Chatbots, for instance, can quickly and accurately respond to customer inquiries, reducing wait times and increasing satisfaction.

ChatGPT Critiques

Within 30 seconds the response ChatGPT gave me was well put together and precise to the prompt I asked. I like the section “personalization” because it describes why AI uses ML to increase engagement with more personalized marketing and ultimately increase sales. I think conversions would have been better terminology rather than sales but we can live with it. I don’t like how ChatGPT describes AI and ML to give better insights. Marketing campaigns and the concepts that are produced to target consumers are deeper than what AI can reach. Being able to connect on an emotional level to trends or recent events I find very difficult for AI to be successful at. Overall I would give ChatGPT a 7/10 on how it performed. I don’t think the information it provided was anything special but I could see how using ChatGPT to spark ideas on what to write could be useful.

How Digital Marketers will use AI Going Forward

AI is what the future is turning into and it would be silly to not integrate aspects of digital marketing with AI. ChatGPT wrote in section 4 of its response that it can be used to improve efficiency and I would have to agree. Utilizing AI to accomplish data analysis is something that will continue to increase and be more efficient for marketers. With how great this sounds it doesn’t come without concerns. There is still a lot of work that is needed to be done on how ethical AI is. Understanding what AI is producing for you is important and should be used alongside digital marketers not specifically by itself.
