I Got Laid Off. Here's Why I Didn't Freak Out (Too Much).

It finally happened. After seeing countless headlines about mass layoffs in tech, I got laid off in Nov. 2022.

I went through all the typical emotions you'd expect (??????????), but the one that outweighed all the others was... excitement?

I created this newsletter to help ambitious professionals like you stand out and fast-track career visibility and flexibility. My goal is to teach you how to take control of your professional presence — meaning both how and where you show up — so that you create opportunities for yourself both in and out of the office.

Ironically, it's the skills and frameworks I share with you each week and have applied to my own career that have played a significant role in where I am today and what I hope for you, too: Diversified professional ventures; a supportive, strong network; a reputation for expertise around key workplace topics I'm passionate about; and excited to build out what had been (up until my layoff) a "side hustle."
