I Will NOT Be a Good Slave

With Juneteenth around the corner, I must share this.

We are ALL slaves.

We are slaves to a system that has taken over our ability to truly act in alignment with our inner truth.

All of our current innovation is a drop in the bucket of our true potential.

The Matrix of this system, the dome I am shooting my arrow at, the ‘massah’ that has its boot on every neck, does not allow for much true innovation.

And yes, it’s an “it”, not a “them”.

It emerged over time from the story we’ve been telling ourselves about the nature of life and who we are.

Author and philosopher Charles Eisenstein calls this the Story of Separation.

But the good news is, that’s not the only story around. There’s an older one that we are waking up to being able to see emerging as we are simultaneously recognizing the fallacy of the story we’ve been believing.?

?? It’s what’s ACTUALLY holding life together.?

?? It’s what’s ACTUALLY making life GO.

?? It’s what’s ACTUALLY been keeping us from complete and utter destruction thus far.

Charles Eisenstein calls this the Story of Interbeing.

We all have been introduced to it.

The Story of Interbeing recognizes:

? We are all ONE.

? There is always more than ENOUGH.

? We are always supported.

These are some of the tenets of sovereign beings in Global Village, the emerging “system” that works completely differently from our dying system based in Separation.

So, how am I not going to be a good slave?

I’m not going with the flow of the status quo.

CONTEXT: I was raised to be a good slave. It was drilled into me multiple times weekly:

???? I was a sinner worthy only of death (Romans 5:12)

???? I was “a good for nothing slave” so I wouldn’t take credit for any achievements (Luke 17:10)

???? I was here to listen to earthly “massahs” who represented God? (Hebrews 13:17)

Yes, I’m leaving out the apparently more palatable ‘other part’ of each teaching - because the above were the premises. The FOUNDATION upon which everything was built.

Make no mistake, I received a lot from my religious upbringing that brings me value every single day. This post is not a smear on any religion, including Christianity.

Rather, it’s a stand.

I realized that in ALL areas of life, I wasn’t being the sovereign I was created / born to be.

For example, my FAITH: my relationship with God was colonial - one of Master / Slave

My MARRIAGE: was colonial - I didn’t question the judgments and criticisms I often received?

My PARENTING was colonial - I was trying to get my daughter to fit my preconceived notions of appropriate behavior instead of co-creating a safe, nurturing home for us both.

My CAREER was colonial - my boss ‘massah’ was the person who held the fate of my development in HIS hand. I could take what I was given, or I could leave. Those were my choices.

For each of the above examples, there were times and places where these ideas were helpful.

But overall, they were destructive of any REAL innovation, creativity, or joy.

So I am taking a stand - that this stops now.

I will take wise, calculated risks to be more creative, more expressive of what I authentically am here for.?

I will not make it easy for others to silence my voice or spoon feed me the information they think I should be privy to.

Remember, no one is the enemy. The problem is the matrix, the dome, the SYSTEM. We are ALL slaves in that system.

None of us are truly free.

So this isn’t a blame game. This is an emancipation resolution.

It won’t happen overnight.

But day by day, bit by bit, it can and WILL be done.

I am stating it now.
