I found my Superpower! Do you know yours?

Don’t you wish sometimes you had a super power? If you are a parent, you probably think of this every day and a few times a day I might add. “I wish I could be in two places at the same time! I wish I can teleport! I wish I can be invisible and just sleep! I wish I had super speed! I wish I could read minds! I wish I could control minds!” You know what I mean. The list goes on… Come on! We all do it! It’s ok.
I sure did wish for superpowers, and still do sometimes, but I realized something that only resonated with me recently. We all do have a superpower! We just did not discover it yet! We have not lived our “origin story” yet. That’s all.
A very good friend of mine reacted to my latest article: “My top 3 lessons from select 2018 reads + Bonus” (found here: https://medium.com/@michaelmalek_1980/here-we-go-again-my-top-3-lessons-from-select-2018-reads-bonus-bd0a5737f991) and sent me a private message that the concept of willpower being finite is something that resonated fully with her. That’s something no one should take lightly. Indeed. My life started changing when I became more and more aware of this and started to limit the decisions I need to make, prioritizing the ones that are more important for me to take versus others. Today, I outsource a lot of my decisions to people I trust, People that have gone through the same experiences before for example. I delegate a lot of decisions to those I believe are better subject matter experts (that includes my wife sometimes ??). I try to keep my attention span for the decisions that are important for me to make and that fall within my specialty. Only. Everything else, is processed in a different process. I am happy to share that with you in my future article. In short, I have a filtering process that allows me to quickly identify which decisions are important for me to give personal attention to and which can be outsourced and by when they should be completed and to/by whom. You can really create your own plan, but if you need guidance this will be for another article or you can contact me directly through IM (if you can’t wait/and maybe you shouldn’t).
Which leads me to this article’s main takeaway. Find your “Unique Ability” (your Superpower) if you like and then try to focus all the decisions and efforts you put around that ability (either using it or growing it). It is much a more productive use of your time and efforts and people will always thank you for it.
My friend thanked me for reading and taking the time to share my knowledge. For providing people with a chance to tap into the same knowledge while saving them time. The reality is though, that I enjoy it tremendously. It is really what I like doing and seem to have a gift at. It’s natural to me and my writing for example just flows. I don’t have to think too much about it or worry about over engineering it. The more I write the more I realize that it must be my “unique Ability”, my superpower if you like. To gather information, understand it, apply it in my life, simplify it and share it as knowledge for others to benefit from. This might be my origin story. The day I discovered my superpower! What about you? What is your origin story? What is your “Unique Ability”? if you have not found it yet, don’t worry. There are ways to find that unique ability! And I can help you find it. Actually, my next article should and will focus on that. In the meantime, Dean Graziosi in his book “Millionaire Success Habits” addresses this topic nicely and you can read about it here (Click link below if you would like to check it). I have to add, this is one of the best books I read in a while. Very practical solutions in there too.
If you don’t have time to go through it though, never fear! I will make sure you know everything you need about your “Unique Ability” really soon!
What is your superpower? I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for reading my article, please clap on Medium or like and share wherever you can, so we can spread the knowledge together.
