Entrepreneurs can forget "they are entrepreneurs"…
Do you know entrepreneurs can forget that "they are entrepreneurs"? It sounds "weird," but there's no cause for alarm since being weird is a top attribute of a successful entrepreneur.
How do I know that an average entrepreneur can forget their qualifications as a great businessperson? Let me share with you an unforgettable event that happened to me six months ago.
Though the story might sound like a paradox, trust me, it will improve your cognitive skills if you pay attention to every bit of this write-up.
The valuable experience I'm about to share with you won't only reignite your waning passion for success but will equally help you achieve your goals within the shortest time, especially if you apply the lessons in it.
I know you can't wait to discover what this is all about, so sit back, relax, take a cup of coffee while you enjoy the ride.
The Start of a Successful Entrepreneurial Journey
I have always known myself as someone born with numerous entrepreneurship skills. I was so confident in my skills that I often say "it won't take me a few years to make a mark in the business world after polishing my raw potentials."
Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as expected, and I had to wait for an opportunity that wasn't coming.?
Surprisingly, I began to notice some funny and scary changes about myself after waiting for so long. Priorities about my boundaries began to change, my passion for innovation to complete challenging tasks decreased drastically, while my ability to evaluate situations and emotions became past glories.
In short, it seemed like I lost my Entrepreneurial spirit entirely, and I almost became a shadow of my vibrant, boastful, and energetic self— how pathetic!
That was when I discovered that your potential as a young entrepreneur couldn't single-handedly make you rich and famous. You must seize an opportunity to announce your arrival into the business world.
Thank goodness, I saw one before it was too late. I grabbed it, and I revived my entrepreneurial spirit. How do I regain my strength and confidence? Don't worry, I will tell you. But before that, I think it's crucial that you know what an entrepreneurial spirit is all about.
What is Entrepreneurial Spirit?
According to Jacquelyn Smith, in one of her posts on Forbes , entrepreneurial spirit is: "an attitude and approach to thinking that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change."?The famous American actress and businesswoman went on to say that: "It's a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous improvement."
Though Jacquelyn Smith has said it all, I would like to add that entrepreneurial spirit is a creative and competitive mindset that pushes you to innovate new inventions to rival a successful product in a healthy and friendly business approach or manner.
Now that you know much about entrepreneurial spirit let's go back to how I hit the ground running as an entrepreneur.
I could remember that the first thing that helped my journey as an entrepreneur was attending the TechDay Founders Summit on the 8th of November in New York. It was the first event I joined for approximately 18 months. The summit opened my eyes to many secrets I possibly won't unveil on my own as a rookie.
Meanwhile, below are a few points gathered from the event;
???????The 'AHA? Moment is important to Know The Importance Of Person-to-person Connections Over Virtual Meetings?
I have been working at home since March 2020, like so many business owners since, no thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. I tried to connect with people virtually during this turbulent period. It worked, but the virtual events for entrepreneurs weren't enough to learn from experienced entrepreneurs.
Since the summit, I learned why it's crucial to establish person-to-person conversations and relationships than online business strategies.
As much as we can't underrate the opportunities provided by numerous social media platforms, working remotely is different from creating valuable connections.
I now like to meet people physically in an environment that provides values for everybody because I intend to create strong and valuable connections that will stand the test of time.
Most of my followers always ask why it is different than virtual events/connections? I think the big difference is that when you meet people in person, it is easier to connect deeply. The virtual events can take time to build up a meaningful connection.

???????I discovered that sharing my options with like-minded people improves business growth:
Finding and talking to like-minded entrepreneurs and investors is an integral part of growing a business because you want to surround yourself with people who will help take you higher.?
I started to talk with entrepreneurs and investors during the break times. Their passion for their business struggles because of the covid-19 pandemic, and their stories were a wake-up call for me.
I swallowed my ego immediately and couldn't help but appreciate the opportunity to start afresh. I created new connections via the summit, and I displayed my entrepreneurial prowess to business owners willing to give me a chance.?
"Good morning to me! It's a New Dawn"
It's been a turnaround for my business and life as I keep growing from strength to strength since the submit. I have recorded mind-blowing achievements, including being a force to reckon with in the industry.?
I have spent over a decade as an entrepreneur, completing Five massive projects, creating three companies, including The Weird Company. Meanwhile, I currently serve my company and work very hard regardless of my achievements.
?The simple message is I have changed!?Thanks to all people I've met! Thank you for the TechSummit!
Other Things I Have Learned In My Entrepreneurial Journey So Far
1. Business Isn't Always Smooth: I have learned as an entrepreneur that all business owners sometimes have tough days.?
The pandemic hit businesses too hard that young ventures almost crumbled. The economy is still not good, and enterprises struggle because of great resignation. Nonetheless, some organizations and companies have risen again and are doing fine now.
2. There Is a Need to Improve Your Consciousness As an Entrepreneur:
I constantly work on all aspects of life like health, relationships, business, although I can be unconscious at times.
How can you increase your consciousness as an entrepreneur?
? Remind yourself why you are an entrepreneur
? Focus on your company's purpose, goals, and objectives; the pandemic has created an unknown market; you should be smart enough to find a way to survive.
? Connect with people who has the same passion and intellectual level to create more meaningful businesses
? Define your priorities monthly and work towards achieving them.
? Work on self-efficacy. There is a need to update your creativity, trading, and marketing skills.
Conclusion
It's possible you are currently in my previous helpless state, or you are finding it hard to grow your business.
The first secret to my business transformation is attending the summit. You can do the same. Register for physical business submits and be bold enough to market your craft and create the awareness your business needs to thrive.
Develop your mental health, physical strength, and overall well-being. Build a successful mindset that will attract success once you apply the required effort.
Real entrepreneurs find the strength to muscle through the hard times and persevere.?This perseverance is an admirable trait, but it's important to remember that it often comes at a high cost. It includes losing sight of whom you are and acting with confidence.
Let me leave you with a quote by Bandura from Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence:
"People's beliefs about their abilities have a profound effect on those abilities. Ability is not a fixed property; there is huge variability in how you perform. People who have a sense of self-efficacy bounce back from failures; they approach things in terms of how to handle them rather than worrying about what can go wrong. I might be lost my sight but not Vision."
I wish you all the best in your quest to find your business soulmates.
