I Fired A Client... And It's MY Fault ??

I fired a client out of my program last week.

It’s not their fault they got kicked out (well, actually, it IS their fault… but, I’m talking bigger-picture). It was my fault.

Every person I’ve ever fired – employees, clients, girlfriends – it has ALWAYS been my fault.

It’s always the result of something that I stupidly did – or stupidly DID NOT do – that set the situation up to end in failure.

I am a pretty solid judge of character. When I hire a staff member, invite someone into my program, or get into an intimate relationship, I have done a solid job of sizing up the person and knowing who I’m dealing with.

So, if ever I end up needing to get rid of a person, it is because of some mistake I made along the way. I set an improper expectation, or influenced them to behave in a way that leads me to remove them from my life or business.

With staff, it’s been me trying to shortcut the vetting, hiring, or training process. Every time I’ve taken my time and thoroughly gone through each step of my process, I’ve made good hires, people who stick around and get better while working with me.

With relationships, it’s a little bit different – there is no expected length of engagement ??.

With clients, it is usually the same story every time: In thinking short-term and not long-term, I make decisions that serve me today, but cost me in the long run. Then I have to fix a problem that I created.

Again: My fault.

This is why it’s important to, in any engagement, set clear expectations for what is to happen, how it’s to happen, who’s responsible for what, and what outcomes are expected to be achieved.

This protects you, and protects them.

It sets everyone up for success, and staves off disappointment for all parties.

In business, this is done through contracts.

In jobs, there’s a job listing.

In any relationship, it’s in constant and clear communication.

With proper expectations in place, everyone is set to be successful.

So, here’s the expectation to have when you work with me in any of our programs.?

I will not only answer the questions you have, but in addition, answer questions that you don’t even know you need to ask.

In my experience as a coach, this is the key aspect of what I do.

If all you think you need are answers to the questions you already have, google and AI (both free) can handle that for you.

What you actually need are not answers – but better quality QUESTIONS – also known as insights.

This is what I specialize in.?

We do a lot of other things as well, but I wanted to keep this one simple ??.?
