I feel like a money celebrity!

This past month has been a whirlwind in all the ways. I hit the Amazon Number 1 New Release list, was quoted multiple times in major online and print media, AND had to report imposter accounts on two social media platforms!
Whew! ??
I'll fill you in on what's happened and share some important lessons I'm learning about visibility.
Imposters on the Loose
Honestly, I didn't think I'd need to worry about people trying to impersonate me on social media until I had 100k followers. But in the span of 10 days, I discovered fake Twitter / X and Facebook accounts. Thankfully, friends and fans tipped me off that "Fake Me" was spamming them in the DMs, trying to get them to invest in Forex and crypto.
Those who know me know I would never do anything so super cringy! But it was crazy to see how easy it is for literally anyone to download your pictures and steal your words from your social media accounts. I felt a little violated and icky.
Kudos to both X and Facebook for removing the fake accounts quickly after I reported them.
Any tips to prevent this in the future are greatly appreciated! (If that's even possible.)
In the Press
I am quoted in this week's issue of one of my all-time favorite magazines, First for Women! It's been a dream of mine for many years to see my name in print in this publication! I was interviewed by the fabulous Kristina Mastrocola for the article, Outsmart Financial Stress.
As of right now, the article is only in print, not online, so you'll have to grab the September 9th issue at your local grocery store. But I will share my best tip from the article to reduce your stress! Knowledge is power, and doing something simple, like listening to the Money is Emotional podcast during your commute or morning walk, is an easy and empowering step to take.
The price of gold is at a record high, and my quote was included in this article for CBS News . Of course, the reporter didn't include all of my comments, so I made this post to give you my full scoop on what I think about gold.

On August 8th, I released my fourth book, Provider Money, Pleasure Money: The Energetics of Personal Finance . (No, it doesn't get much easier! Writing books is a labor of love.) The e-book version quickly climbed to Number 1 New Release status thanks to so many of you showing it some love!

Visibility Lessons
Being in the spotlight seems like it will be super exciting - and it is - but here's the truth:
1) The excitement wears off faster than you think. It's been less than a month since Provider Money, Pleasure Money became a Number One New Release on Amazon. It's been less than a week since my quote appeared in First for Women.
Both of them are already feeling like old news to me. I have to remind myself that these are BIG accomplishments, and it's more than okay to keep talking about them and celebrating them. Getting press, being interviewed, and achieving public milestones are the frosting on the cake. It's the content you create that changes people's lives that truly matters. And you might not hear about those results until months or years in the future.
2) The downside to visibility is copying, criticism, and imposters. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it feels more like stealing. This is one of the reasons I invest in IP, such as trademarks and copyrights. (Shoutout to my amazing IP attorney, Shannon Villalba (L.I.O.N) (SUPER CONNECTOR) ) Several times a month, I email cease and desist letters to scammers who are trying to pirate my courses on shady websites. If you're going to excel at anything, people are going to notice. Some will admire you, some will copy you, and some will criticize you. It's just a fact of life.
3) Be true to yourself, both in the spotlight and out. You can't control what others think of you, only what you think of yourself.
