I was embarrassing wrong about fat-loss, nutrition & getting in shape…

In 2013, I started working out more, it was my escape from the stress and pressure of working in a startup company…

Spent hours on YouTube, websites and forums comparing supplements and looking for the best training trick/shortcut...

And when I hired a coach to help me compete, I thought I ‘knew everything’.

Truth was, I only knew how to follow a 'strict' meal plan, put food on a scale and eat it…

And eagerly await my next meal as the clock seemingly ticked slower and slower.

After competing I saw many amazing competitors who gained so much body-fat fast! They looked like a different person.

I thought it was all about ‘food’... Like the only way to lose body-fat was only eat sweet potato or brown rice…

Because bread, pasta, white potato and white rice would "make me fat"…

I had to eat steamed chicken breast or lean beef... because if I ate fatty meat or cooked with oil, I would get fat…

And I could only some nuts or avocado, otherwise, it was unhealthy and I would get fat.

Turns out I was dead wrong… and I had no idea about how the metabolism works.

Doing super-restricted 'dieting' makes the metabolism adapt to that level...

Like a car going from 8 cylinders… to 6 cylinders… to 4 cylinders (without turbo).

Hence, after the comps, people blow up their body-fat and weight within a few weeks (some even getting eating disorders ?? )

Once I understood the metabolism, I was able to slowly ramp it back up while eating a variety of food…

I quit the boiled chicken and broccoli and couldn't stomach any more brown rice or sweet potato…

And I started eating foods I enjoy to hit my targets based on where my metabolism was at and exercise I do...

Foods like white rice and potato, thick and fatty scotch fillet steaks (Rib-eye for my US pals), cooking with oil ?? and a daily dessert...

And I've sat around 13% body-fat ever since competing in 2016… (e.g. flat belly, some ab outlines, fit body look)

Without my body-fat going up and down like a yo-yo.

Only 6 years ago, I thought that eating super-strict lean and clean eating was the only way to lose body-fat and stay lean…

But I was dead wrong.

If you can align your metabolism with your goals and lifestyle…
