I Don't Want you to Die
I was sitting at the airport with a group of family members on our way to Maui. My wife walked over to Starbucks to get us some coffee. I remember she handed me my cup and I took the lid off and sat it down next to me. Then, I recall I became light-headed and my brain felt fuzzy, and I was gone. They tell me, they pulled me down from my chair, no easy feat at about 270 pounds, I landed hard on my shoulder to be paid for later. I can tell you how lucky I am. We were sitting at the first gate, so everyone had to walk past us. If I had been on the other level out of the way I would not be writing this.
Additionally lucky, Gary (head trauma nurse) was six seats away and saved my life. Saving my life meant seven broken ribs from CPR. You don’t normally think about it, but if they don’t break your ribs they are not pumping the heart. Gary performed CPR for six minutes while the airport staff looked for a defibrillator to shock my heart. I was told four doctors stopped to view and left to catch their plane. Thank you Gary for staying with me. They found the defibrillator and shocked me once and I was back.
I recall laying spread out on the floor, eyes opening, looking up to see people all around. I remember standing up, with help, and walking to the gurney, lying down on my way to the hospital. They took x-rays of me and missed the broken ribs. They did an angiogram to check my heart, and there was no damage. Because they missed the cracked ribs I was there for about six days dealing with pain without drugs.
A couple of days later I was back in the emergency room, and my o2 (oxygen level) had dropped making it difficult to breathe. The new team noticed I had been there recently and performed a CAT scan and found the 7 broken (fractured) ribs and treated me for pain. Pain can cause your body to do many things to protect itself.
All of this to say, I did not have a heart attack and I did not have a stroke. I had a prescribed medicine mismatch. The danger warnings they write in small print and the announcements they say real fast are Real.
I was not familiar with the term Black Box Warning (BBW). They are the strictest warning labels used when labeling medication. In the BBW, you will find a list of hazards and side effects that could have serious, even life-threatening consequences if ignored. Even medications prescribed by your doctor can be dangerous if taken incorrectly.
What triggers a black box warning? The FDA uses boxed warnings to highlight risks in the following situations: If evidence shows a drug causes a serious adverse reaction — potentially fatal, life-threatening or permanently disabling — where the risks might outweigh the benefits.

At one time I was on the drug Warfarin as a blood thinner due to my irregular heartbeat (AFIB). I told the doctor I wanted to get off of this rat poison. It is used to kill rats and mice. It is registered as a anticoagulant rodenticide. I will never forget what it told me. He said “every drug out there is poisonous to something”.
So, I encourage you to https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ and check on any prescription suggested to you to use. We need doctors, but even they have to look up what they are giving you to see if in their opinion it is the best one.
These days I knowingly use a couple of prescriptions, but I also use some wearable light technology to activate my copper peptides that activate my pluripotent cells (changeable cells that go where my body tells it to go). Our body is smart, and it knows what to do to heal itself.
