I Don't Need Your Product/Service What I Need Is...

'I don't need (insert your product/service here) but I sure can use what (insert your product/service here) can do for me.'

I found this quote in a book about selling life insurance but its relevance applies to any business. Any marketer, of any value, knows that no one buys your product or service they but what it does for them or how it makes them feel.

Your focus must be on finding what your business ultimately does for your client and using that as your marketing focus.

In the case of life insurance it's knowing that if anything ever happens to you the people you love and care about will taken care of. It is peace of mind being able to sleep better at night knowing this is taken care of.

For a tax accountant their clients also want peace of mind. They need to know everything they are required to do has been done right and on time.

For a web designer selling to professional service businesses those businesses want to know they will look trusted in the eyes of their ideal clients. They want a site that will get them new clients. They also want to know if there is ever a problem with the site it will be fixed fast.

So what is it your product or service can do for your desired clients? To be sure you need to ask them and explore the real underlying value you deliver. When you understand this deeply you can transform your marketing and your business and eliminate your competition.

This is too important to delay so if you're a smart business owner get started now.
