Let me tell you a story of Priyanka, working directly with customers and is best at the delivery of sales.

She is so good at her job that even the CEO remains "Aw" after she delivered the presentations and benefits to customers

On her birthday, the manager scheduled a call with the Customer and wanted Priyanka to take charge of the sale that day.

She agreed to it. She dressed up nicely and with high black heels and with proper dressed she came in front of Clients.

A proper delivery was done, Customer connected with the product and wanted to get started at the earliest.

They said they will call them next week and sign the contracts because of some cost crunch.

In spite of some pushing, they resisted and said they will come back as they were committed to the product.

Now, as and when Priyanka and the team moved out from the premises, Katrina called that Customer and offered the product somewhat similar but a little downgrade version.

Initially, they were reluctant but Katrina said let's not buy the product and let's focus on your values first.

This made the Customer think and agreed to have 30 min discussion.

Katrina delivered a presentation in 10 minutes and asked how would you feel if this product makes her life easier.

And we are committed to helping you get success first, out the product is just the medium for that.

They were leaning more into that conversation.

Again they said we have a cash crunch and cannot move forward.

Katrina replied, "Value you are going to produce will be more than 1cr using our product and we would be happy to take our part as a token of appreciation".

Everyone laughed. They closed the deal.

When you are in salespeople forget that they are selling products to people who are btw our Customers. But people will buy when they will connect more to the value you are going to serve. Otherwise one might practise how many presentations and how good performance they might get lacked just because they were selling products.

Believe me or not people will focus on buying products more from the people who are more connected with them. Rather than them having a 5-star product and no connection. A real connection is generated when the product and team want the Customer to go through the process and actually succeed. People will look into that mirror when you are just selling that product and not focusing on them.

That is why when someone who is good with people and really connects with them and not because their product is good or their service is good. They should be connected because their values match and create a trust bond. Emotion comes before product. But people who are in sales focus on the product before then emotions and are not able to close the deals.
