Seven ideas compete in the Portuguese ClimateLaunchpad final
The Portuguese final of the world's largest cleantech competition is organised by UPTEC, the Ordem dos Engenheiros - Regi?o Norte (OERN) and Fórum Oceano/Hub Azul, and will take place on July 2, in the Auditorium of the Ordem dos Engenheiros - Regi?o Norte (OERN), at 10 am.
The session will recognise the three Portuguese representatives for the European final of the competition, which aims to find solutions that reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Incubated at UPTEC and born at INESC TEC , Seedsight has made it possible, for the first time in the world, to analyse seeds and grains in less than a minute, thus maximising food availability.
UPTEC in €1.5M European consortium on maritime transport challenges
In the SaferSEA project, UPTEC is responsible for identifying new technologies and applications based on AI, spatial data or cybersecurity to respond to the needs of stakeholders, or that can be developed to effectively prevent and respond to the problem of safety at sea.
On July 3, at 2.30pm, UPTEC Asprela I will host the SaferSEA Maritime Event - Exploring the Portuguese ecosystem, the presentation event for this project, which will include Connect Robotics , Windcredible , AELER , CEiiA // Centre of Engineering and Product Development , CoLAB +Atlantic, Hanhaa Supply Chain Solutions and connected .
Azitek reaches €1M in investment with asset tracking system
The operation led by Beta Capital , in co-investment with Portugal Ventures and Cedrus Capital , for a total of 750,000 euros, brings Azitek to over 1 million euros raised in investment rounds, reinforcing its capacity for expansion and innovation in the IoT technology sector, especially in the digitisation of assets in industrial environments.
In addition to 福特 , the startup incubated at UPTEC applies its technology to waste management in the city of Porto, through Porto Ambiente - Empresa Municipal de Ambiente do Porto, E.M., S.A. and offers solutions for industry in the area of process automation, with clients including Bosch , 博格华纳 , Gestamp , among others.

Bridging to create links between organisations and startups

Knok and Addvolt among the 150 fastest-growing tech companies in Europe
UPTEC graduates have earned top places in 德勤 's "Fast 500 EMEA" ranking, which lists the fastest-growing technology companies in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
At a national level, Addvolt is in second place and knokcare in third, in a list of 16 companies with an average growth of 810% over the last three years.

UPTEC Mar hosted a delegation from the Brazilian Army's Military Engineering Institute (IME), made up of General Armando Morado Ferreira , Colonel Erick Galante , Colonel @Eduardo Cadorin and Colonel Mateus Barros de Andrade.
The top brass watched an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) exercise in the Le?a da Palmeira Marina, coordinated by Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto 's LSTS (Laboratory of Underwater Systems and Technology), with the participation of the OceanScan-MST company.
