I don't know what to say, but I can say this...

I sat, horrified, shocked, shaking, as I watched the video of George Floyd literally begging for his life. I cried as I realized what was happening – again? How can this be happening again!? I shook my head at the absolute senselessness of this - over a $20 bill, a run, a walk, a traffic stop, or nothing at all.
But it’s not about me. It’s about my friends, my colleagues, and all people of color who should not have to live in this reality. And I thought, I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to do - to help, to make things better, to comfort, to change the outcome.
I suspect I'm not the only one who feels this way, who feels that anything I say isn't enough - but saying nothing isn't an option. I can say this - we can, and should, all say this - over, and over, and over again - until we don't have to anymore: This is not ok. We will not stand for this. We will will not stand by silently. We will be part of the solution.
This is NOT ok. I stand with you.
This is NOT ok.
