I Don't Have Time !

I Don't Have Time !

Ever catch yourself saying, “I don’t have time,” almost on autopilot? In today’s fast-paced world, it’s become a default response to new opportunities, responsibilities, and even our own personal ambitions. Yet the words of Lao Tzu give us a different perspective, "Time is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time', is like saying, 'I don't want to' "

This isn’t just a philosophical soundbite—it’s a gentle wake-up call about what we truly value. When we say we don’t have time, what we’re often saying is that something else matters more to us right now. It’s a reminder that time, like our energy and attention, is ours to allocate.

I am not an exception. I often spend 30 minutes scrolling Instagram reels , telling myself it’s just a “quick break,” but then feel too busy to read even one chapter of a book I’ve been meaning to finish.

So here’s a thought: the next time you’re tempted to say “I don’t have time,” try pausing and asking, “What am I choosing instead?” By getting honest about our priorities, we can start to align our schedules—and our lives—more closely with what genuinely matters.

Question for you: What are you choosing to make time for today? Let’s share and learn together.
