I don't care how much someone gets paid, and neither should you

It doesn't matter how much someone gets paid for closing a deal, making a sale, adding a client, or hitting a quota. What matters is why?
Indulge me. I'll make my point with an example.
Dave Ramsey has made it a public mission to protect consumers against buying cash value life insurance. What's his reasoning? Why does he take this stance? Because, "agents make all their commissions off of the sale of these expensive products."
Is he really trying to villainize people who make money? I don't care if people make more money than me, or if they improve their world by making more money. Do you?
To be clear, I'm not singling out Dave Ramsey, insurance agents, or anyone in particular. I'm talking generally, but using DR and his attacks on insurance agents as an example to illustrate a point. Dave Ramsey's words villainize
I do not care about people getting paid a lot of money. I do not care about someone getting a massive bonus check. Good on them. I don't care, and neither should you.
I care about WHY someone is paid a lot of money. Dave Ramsey's complaints about agents who recommend cash value life insurance policies are misplaced. He should be complaining about insurance agents who exclusively recommend cash value life insurance when it is a wildly inappropriate recommendation. He shouldn't be complaining about how much money they make. After all, I know many agents who make a lot of money selling other types of insurance...Dave isn't going after them.
Ok, time to back off of Dave and get to the point. Because I really don't have a problem with Dave. He helps many people get of debt, build a resilient mentality, learn to discipline themselves, and build a path to financial freedom. We should thank God for Dave, and people like him. My problem is Dave having a problem with people making money.
So let's get to the point here. You don't have much time and neither do I.
I take issue with what I get in return for the money I pay. I take issue with value, and so should you. Don't worry about how much someone is getting paid. If someone somehow makes $100,000 off of working with you, great! But what did you get out of it? What value did you receive? It had better be more than $100,000 worth.

If I told you that my company will personally invest at least 4 hours of our time, every week into your business development plans, optimizing those plans with a promised additional hour every month, and off-calendar impromptu consults when you need them, resulting in a total of at least 20 hours of our time invested in you every month, is that something you'd want?
Who else spends 20 hours with you every month? Do you even do 20 hours of prospecting and business development every month? Would having a team help you with that for 20 hours a month be valuable?
Of course you'd want that?
And when I tell you that's $798/month, or basically just under $40/hour, do you see value in that?
A bunch of you just raised both hands saying "YES!"
See my point? It isn't about the price, how much my company would get paid, how much I would get paid, its all about what you would get out of it. And for that reason I think we need to stop villainizing people who make money off of making a sale.
Stop villainizing and start creating that for yourself. Go get paid. Go get paid a lot. And provide tons of value in return. Blow people away with the value you provide, and then do it more. Then guess what? People will pay more, and you'll make more. And around and around we go.
