I Discovered My Purpose in 5 Minutes. You can too!
I came across this amazing TEDx Talk by Adam Leipzig.
And I found my life purpose in 5 minutes.
You can do it too!
Honestly! No click bait.
Take a deep breath. Kick out all distractions for a little while. Sit alone, open your mind and answer these 5 questions in the next 5 minutes without thinking too much
I promise you will be surprised at what you discover.
- Who are you?
- What do you find yourself naturally & uniquely qualified to do?
- Who do you do it for?
- What do they want or need?
- How do they change as a result of what you give them?
I am mentioning my answers below:
- Who am I? I am Ali Zafar
- What do I find myself naturally & uniquely qualified to do? I pursue ideas! I pursue intellectual discovery! I speak to inspire! I synthesize human behavior! I ignite action through big ideas
- Who do you do it for? Individuals, brands, companies, anyone who is willing to listen with an open mind
- What do they want or need? A fresh perspective to move forward
- How do they change as a result of what you give them? They feel some level of clarity after interacting with me and feel inspired to take action
Closing Thoughts
I understand that this is not leading necessarily to a grand life purpose that puts you on a mission to change the world. And I think that is the very point here.
If you are feeling completely lost, counselling and spirituality is what I would recommend.
Otherwise, after having spent a reasonable time living, what we need is not and external injection of a novel idea, but rather discover a direction that helps connect all the dots from our past and leads us towards a future to which we feel naturally propelled. A direction where our life experiences, natural talents, current environment, all come together as muscles rather than obstacles. This exercise might take 5 minutes, but the reflection that follows will take much much longer I am sure.
This exercise will work best in a spirit of self discovery and education and not as a short burst of quick feel good inspiration!
I wish you all the best in this short but profound journey.
