I created my own website in 10 minutes with AI without any coding

Let me tell you something. When you've got a brilliant business idea, you have got to strike while the iron's hot. As Richard Branson once said, "Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming".

So, don't wait around.

Get your idea out there and see how people react to it. If it clicks with them, then you can invest time and money into creating the perfect website to showcase your business.

While you're testing the waters, you don't need a fancy-schmancy website.

You need something quick and cheap. Something that won't break your bank. And that is where this tool and guide comes in handy.

Because I am going to show you how to create a business website in just a few simple steps.

First things first, you have got to start with an idea for your website. You can either generate it through Gamma, or use ChatGPT. I did the latter.

?? My requirements document ??

With an AI based website builder: Gamma.app

ChatGPT generated website features

Now, here's where things get really cool. Because you can use AI to create your entire website.

I'm not kidding. Just head over to gamma.app, sign up for a free account, and click on "Create New AI." Select "Website" and choose how many sections you want. You can have up to 10 for free.

Describe your website in detail. The more specific you are, the better the AI can create a website that fits your vision. It'll come up with an outline for you. Tweak the language if you need to, and select the Advanced mode. That's where you can choose the length of your text, the tone, and even your target audience.

Once the AI generates your website, go through it card by card.

You can modify the text, reorder things, and even change the colors to match your palette. If you want even more control over the design, hop on over to Canva. Create a new website project and go to town. Give each page a title, add some buttons and links, and make it look exactly how you want.

Create your brand colors, and logo seperately

Colors evoke emotions and set the tone for your business. Purple and orange scream creativity. Yellow is all about happiness and playfulness. Black oozes elegance. Blue inspires trust. And green? That's the color of growth, my friend.

If you're not sure which colors to choose, just ask your favorite AI search tool. It'll hook you up with the perfect color combo for your brand's personality. For my fake startup business, Caribbean Compassion Coaching, I went with Caribbean Blue. It's a mix of light blue and green, and it just screams relaxation and tropical vibes.

Exactly what I want my fictional clients to feel.

Once you've got your color, head over to coolors.co. It's a tool that helps you create a color palette. Just click on "Start the Generator!" and boom, you've got five random colors to play with. Find your chosen color using the color picker, lock it in, and hit the space bar. Coolors will generate four new colors that vibe with your base color. Keep hitting that space bar until you've got a palette that makes you go, "Oh, yeah!"

Next up, logos. You could use a free logo creator, but let's be real. The logos that I've tried look like clip art. You don't want your logo looking like everyone else's. Nah, you want something unique. Something that screams, "This is my business, and it's awesome!". And for that I have always been using the same logo tool: Smashinglogo - lately enhanced with some basic AI features. They are not cheap. A good logo costs you 100+ USD/EUR, but you can return to their site and redo the logo as many times as you want. Even after a couple of years. For instance, the TechTonic Shifts and Beyond the Cloud logo have been designed with this tool.

When you're happy with your website, it's time to publish.

You can do it right from Gamma or Canva. If you publish from Gamma, you'll get a website name that looks like "<keywords>-<id string>.gamma.site". It'll also have a little "Created by Gamma" banner, but you can get rid of that by upgrading to a pro account.

My sample blog website

If you publish from Canva, you've got options.

You can publish it on a Canva-branded site for free, buy a domain through Canva for around $15-$25, or if you've already got a domain and a pro Canva account, you can point your existing domain to the Canva site. If you want to look pro without spending too much, I recommend buying a domain through Canva.

And there you have it, folks. That's how I created my website, "Welcome to Marco's World" in just 10 minutes. The longest part was probably changing the color of the home page image to match my palette. But even if you need to do a lot of customization and rewriting, you can still create a professional-looking website in less than a day. And for only about $18.

So, what are you waiting for? As the Nike used to say: "Just Do it"

Well, that's a wrap for today. Tomorrow, I'll have a fresh episode of TechTonic Shifts for you. If you enjoy my writing and want to support my work, feel free to buy me a coffee ??
