"I WAS BUSY” is not cool! It’s rather STUPID!

In recent years, “being busy” has become the new trend. After all, if you aren’t busy then you are wasted, that’s what most people think of themselves when they are blaring out their busy and tight schedules to their friends. Wrong. Addressing yourself in front of the people as the busiest person on earth alive will simply loose cut your good relations and you are going nowhere in life without family and people you have surrounded yourself with.

Areas we waste time

The sad thing is, we think we are busy but no one is ever that busy to cancel a family dinner outside or enroll in some extra-curricular activities that can strengthen their personal abilities. We always have time for things that we love or care the most. Sit for a while and analyze your day. Did that sleep for 10 minutes after the snooze alarm really took away your tiredness? Was that surfing on Instagram at your breakfast table was that important? Was it worth to watch that last season’s 4th episode of FRIENDS? Once you analyze the areas that are happily wasted, you will come up with something that is more productive and beneficial for your health, body, and mind too.

People get disconnected as you unprioritize them

If you are a person who loves to spend his/her day inside your cubicle, doing nothing and simply burning your eyes on the mobile screen and scrolling the Facebook pages, know the fact that you are getting disconnected with the world and by “world” I mean your family and friends. The technology devices- mobiles and laptops have silently replaced the importance of family and friends on your dinner table or on the couch. If you are still addressing yourself as “I was busy” man then you are actually sending a wrong message to your correspondent because being busy means you are unprofessional and lack time management, which automatically symbolize you are careless, always in hurry, and a person who make blunders in the name of mistakes.

Since the day I started digital marketing agency in Pune, I have adapted that proactive formula so that, I can return to my family and friends in time. Not saying that it’s gonna be a cakewalk but, eliminating things which are least of my concern, has surely made me proud of myself.

Face your boredom with something more productive. Enroll into some music classes if you love playing instruments, or instead of social media, sign up to an online business class that can mould your career and make you more professional and savvy at work. Once you disconnect your practical world, you lose yourself virtually and it will do no good to your professional skills, personal life, or for that matters your career too. So, before narrating someone your “busy schedule”, think twice because indirectly you are defining yourself as an “unprofessional” and “confused” about your life.
